Jinan é a porta de entrada para Qufu, lar ancestral de Confúcio, bem como a Montanha dos Mil Budas, onde as esculturas mais antigas remontam 1.300 anos.
Mas talvez o mais impressionante seja o patrimônio mundial da UNESCO, o Monte Tai, o mais sagrado das Cinco Grandes Montanhas da China, com uma história de adoração ao longo de três milênios.
